Survivor:China October 18, 2007

Tonight, Survivor China fulfilled some expectations I have formed over the last few seasons.

1) There is always one team which functions well, and one team which does not. . Fei Long, despite their disputes with Jon Robert, at least can pull together from time to time. In Zhan Hoo, not even all the members of the team know what is going on.

2) Somebody or some group of people always misses something very obvious. Tonight, Zhan Hoo couldn't even guess that if they were getting two members of Zhan Hoo, Zhan Hoo was for sure getting two of their members, too. No, they were completely blindsided.

3.) Somebody will probably decide to throw a challenge. This is not only a risky way to play the game, but it's not very honorable, either.

4.) A really strong player will be voted out long before it is necessary, and this time it was Aaron.

5.) My favorite player is always going to be at risk and probably voted out before the merger. Looks like we're heading that way with James.

6.) There's always one player I don't expect to last one week who sticks around a lot longer than that. This time, it's Courtney. The girl doesn't look as though she should still be walking around. She's just a stick. She has no strength. Why is she still in the game?

At least, this season the scenery is much more interesting. I got very tired of all those islands. And we're getting to see more native flora and fauna as well. I just wish we would have one standout player like the early seasons had. It seems like the last really good, big personality was Rupert.
