The morning brought nothing really new as everyone wanted the clue to the Hidden Idol. Amanda wanted for the Heroes while everyone on the Villains were on the lookout. The Reward challenge was a rehash from Tocantins: Survivor Shuffleboard. The had to push discs across a board in hopes of getting closest to an X. Their reward: going to Robert Lewis Stevenons's house to watch Treasure Island and sleep in a bed. The Red team of Sandra/Russell/Rupert were in the lead until the final slide when Colby landed right on the X. That sent Colby, Amanda and Danielle to the house and on a clue hunt.
At the house, Amanda was basically there to find the clue. She looked around EVERYWHERE and touched everything she could to see if it held the clue. While watching the movie, Danielle found the clue in the bowl of popcorn. As she slide it onto the floor, Amanda saw and sat down next to her.... on the floor. When she saw the clue she grabbed it and then we had one of the craziest moments in the shows history. Amanda and Danielle got in a cat fight over who should keep the clue. Colby sat their still watching the movie while the two grabbed at each other, it was humorous but strange in a way. I mean they were in a house... and it's always odd seeing our favorite Survivors inside four walls. Colby ended up telling Amanda that it was Danielle's clue so Amanda gave it back, something she would soon regret.
Back at camp, everyone was huddled in the hut as the rain began to come down. Danielle still got a chance to tell Parvati, Russell and Jerri about the clue and the four went off to find it. Russell ended up finding it without anyone seeing, and decided to keep it to himself this time around. A new plan then went into play: Russell wanted to get another "dumb-ass girl" on his side. He went to Candice and told her that he had the idol and wanted her to vote with the Villains. He had a feeling that Sandra was on the outs and decided that Candice would be the perfect one to string along. She seemed to bite, and ultimately did, but the Heroes had no clue. Before heading to the Immunity Idol, Sandra started her own plan of attack. She knew that she was out first on the Villains and went to Colby, then Rupert, about getting rid of Russell. It was a smart plan for her since she was on the bottom of the Villains tribe. The Heroes perked up with this knowledge and went into the challenge ready for a win, or at least hoping that Russell didn't get it.
The challenge was a rehash from Gabon where Suzie got herself into the final three. It was simple: build a ten foot tall "house of cards" out of tiles. Seems simple but is much harder considering the height and size of the tiles. It all came down to Russell and Jerri as they were neck and neck the entire time. Jerri came out with the win for the first time in the very last second. She had never had an individual idol before and was on cloud nine for finally winning one.
Back at camp it was all a scramble as things went from great, to horrible. First Russell told Candice, and the Villains, that Amanda had to go. Then, the Heroes told Candice (and by Heroes I now include Sandra) that Russell had to go since they "knew" Danielle had the idol and wouldn't give it to him. Then we have Candice going back to Russell and telling him that he is getting their votes and Sandra is along with it. Now, shoot to Russell running down the beach towards Sandra with Candice following right behind. He asked her flat out if she was voting for him and Sandra lied, saying she was voting for Amanda. Now we turn right around and Sandra goes to the Heroes and tells them what Candice did. They all believe that Candice is with them but as the Heroes walk away, leaving Sandra and Candice, her ton changes. Candice tells Sandra that she's scared and she's going to vote for Amanda.... Sandra doesn't like it. Sandra didn't understand how she could put her neck on the line for her, then she's going to swap the other direction. Sandra then left it up to Candice as who would go and then we go to Tribal. I must say, Candice is playing a shady game. She is going against all the people who helped her the entire time, first Cirie all the way down to her entire Heroes tribe. It's stupid, but hey it got JT a win last time.
Now we are at Tribal Council where Sandra says she's left out of the Villain and Russell confirms it. Rupert plays stupid that nobody on the Villains would swap (thinking Sandra really is). Courtney has some one liners that I'm not sure why they are showing, but they are good at least! And Amanda has her pouty face, which she's been stuck in this season but for once it's not an act. Everyone remember it for the first time in Micronesia when she "didn't find the idol" yet went all bi-polar as she wiped it out? The vote then went down and Russell pulled out yet another idol, this time to use it on himself. He wasted it though, which Parvati pointed out, as he got zero votes while Amanda went home. It's the first time in three seasons that she's getting her torch snuffed and I bet Jeff was very happy about that. And honestly, I am too. Hopefully she won't appear for a fourth go around anytime soon.
