Susan Boyle Beats Out America's Got Talent Competitors on Finale Show Wed. Sept. 16

Whose Talent is Better, Britain's or America's?

Betty Malone
Do any of the contestants on the Wednesay, September 16, finale episode of America's Got Talent have the Susan Boyle X Factor that will catapult them into the international stardom that Ms. Boyle has received as the runner up of Britain's version of the popular talent show format, Britian's Got Talent? Is Simon Cowell throwing down the gauntlet to the American version of his popular British show?

We'll get to see and compare tonight as Susan Boyle makes her live debut on American television singing the Rolling Stone's song, "Wild Horses". Her treatment of the song was leaked online and you can hear it here.

It's absolutely spell binding, just incredibly beautiful and haunting rendition.

There are other rumors that she will also be singing the audition song she sang for Britain's Got Talent, I Dreamed a Dream, from Les' Miserables, the song that made her a world wide phenomenon and remains the top viewed video on You Tube.

The producer of her new album, Simon Cowell, had been looking for the perfect American venue to launch the album and Susan Boyle in America. The album due to be released on November 24 is already topping the sales charts. . What better venue than the American cousin to Britain's Got Talent than the American's version of the talent show.

What kind of acts will be showcased tonight in the finale and is there anyone that will rival Susan Boyle singing talent and her star appeal? 10 acts are competing on tonight's, Wed. Sept. 16, finale for the one million dollar prize money and a Las Vegas Headline show.

While the prize money sounds phenomenal, it's the Las Vegas show that could bring in the real money and stardom to boot. The contestants performed for the final time on Tuesday, the 15th and who amongst them has the best chance of winning the whole shootin' match!

If it were to be won on who has the most talent, the first place finish would have to be given to Barbara Padilla, as she song Puccini's "O mio babbino caro" with bravado and beautiful melodic tone. She could definitely be a contender to out sing Susan Boyle, but is opera going to win over the American public or make for a good show in Las Vegas? I just don't see it happening for Padilla.

There are several group singing combos that the audience love, the Texas Tenors, the Fab Fives, and the Voices of Glory are all sensational but sensational enough to beat Kevin Skinner, Lawrence Beamen and Drew Styvens? Of all of the men singing on the final last night, I think Lawrence Beamen might just have a chance to share the finale stage with Susan Boyle.

If Recycled Percussion with their home made drums and bangles and baubles beating out the beat don't take the prize away from all others. It could happen. They make me want to stand up and shout and dance along.

All of them however, all of America's Got Talent finale acts, pale in comparison in this writer's humble opinion when sharing the same stage with the indomitable Ms. Susan Boyle and her angelic crystal clear pipes! In this contest it appears that the Brit's have got the American's beat in the talent show department.

The whole world is still a fan Susan and we're still cheering you on to success. We believe that you dreamed a dream and your dream is just coming to fruition. America will watch you tonight and see the same thing many of us have seen for months, an angel amongst us.
