When she opened her mouth and began to sing, the whole world became silent. Then the cheers erupted. An angel's voice came from an unlikely source. By the time she finished singing, the audience was on their feet in complete awe of the amazing woman. It made me cry.
A unemployed, quirky, Scottish church worker who had never been kissed, was an instant hit. YouTube has made her a worldwide hit. With millions of hits in just a short period of time, Susan is a worldwide sensation.
What does the first reaction from the audience tell us about us. What is says to me is we are all extremely phony. We look at people from the outside in vs from the inside out.
In this world of supposed, beautiful people, where if you are not beautiful, you get looked down upon, this is a beautiful story.
From the simple, not outwardly what everyone says is the best, comes a God given talent that should open the eyes of the world.
What is so sad in the whole thing is will we get the point here? First of all, if you did not believe in God before, you should at least be open to the possibility now. Second point is, if we are honest and just take a minute to look around our own personal world, not TV, there are many more Susan Boyle's than you ever noticed before.
What are we missing because we allow what the TV world says is the way it should be, to be the way we think?
The world is full of beautiful souls and beautiful spirits that never get noticed or given the encouragement they need because they don't look right on the outside.
When I saw Susan, my first thought was from my heart. I said, "there is something special about her".
In this time of a bad economy, the stress in the country, the war in the Middle East and all of the other problems Americans are facing on a day to day basis, Susan is a wonderful, refreshing site.
My hope for America and for the rest of the world would be, instead of looking at the whole through our TV's all of the time, we would begin to take notice of the beauty within the people that we see all the time.
Bravo for Susan Boyle. You are an inspiration and the whole world loves you. God Bless You!

Post a CommentEven today, I haven't heard her entire performance, but I have caught a bit on the news, and I agree that especially when it comes to "entertainment", we assume that singers, actors, and show hosts, with occasional exceptions in the actors' circle, will be, as David Letterman says, "easy on the eyes". People ARE generally shallow when it comes to appearances of others.
Great work.

On shows like that, I think people expect glamour and beauty. I hope they learned a lesson. :)
Apologies for errors. Thought I fixed them....
