Susan Boyle Sobs After Lou Reed Refuses to Let Her Sing His Song

Lou Reed Bans Susan Boyle from Singing His Song and Reduces Her to Tears

While Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle was on the way to the studios to perform Lou Reed's song "Perfect Day" on America's Got Talent, she was told that he had banned her from singing it at the eleventh hour.

The 49 year old singer was reduced to tears, and had only flown to Los Angeles from Scotland yesterday to film her version of the Lou Reed song.

Lou Reed would apparently not give his permission because he is not a Susan Boyle fan.

Susan Boyle is known for being a very sensitive person, and this news literally knocked her for six.

Last week Susan recorded a duet in London with Amber Stassi, a paramedic and mother of three, who Susan chose from thousands of applicants.

They apparently got on really well, and Susan predicted that Amber ought to have a successful singing career ahead of her.

The duet will appear on Susan Boyle's second album, titled "The Gift" when it is released in November.

This was rude of Lou Reed. Does he think he's the only one that can sing his songs?

I think Lou was being a real shit. Quite surprised at him!

For a minute there, I was picturing Susan Boyle trying to sing "Walk on the Wild Side."

No excuse for him waiting till the last minute to do what he did. Simon Cowell confirmed it, so I believe it. "Do unto others...etc., Lou Reed. Did you need publicity that much to callously hurt a sincere woman just trying to do her work and 100 innocent, disappointed kids who were to join her in chorus? Or was it just plain jealousy?

    Well-written. :)

She's brilliant. He's obviously a donkey of the jack variety.

Lou Reed is not a favorite of mine. If it were me, so long as someone had real talent they would always be welcome to perfom something I'd done.

I wish her well. May she have a bright future.

Lou Reed was always way more in love with himself than anyone else was. He's a no talent anyway. If it wasn't for his graveling voice, he would be a nobody.
