At nearly 48 years old, Susan Boyle is finally a few steps closer to fulfilling her most desired dream of becoming a professional singer. Singing "I Dreamed A Dream" from the stage performance of the musical Les Miserables, she both stunned and amazed the audience and judges, Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden. No one could have imagined, nor prepared themselves for the powerful voice that was quietly lurking within that unassuming, small town charity worker.
Even the audience, as the cameras panned throughout the theater of "Britain's Got Talent", could be seen snickering under their breath and rolling their eyes as she stepped out onto the stage. However, after only the first few bars of the song, they were already standing in ovation and applauding her magnificent, powerful talent.
Single and unemployed, there's little doubt that either of these situations will be a problem in her life in the very near future (of course, only if she wants to be married), but there is absolutely no doubt she'll be raking in the £'s (pounds) in no time at all. I also have little doubt that she'll certainly be in contention as one of the top acts on Britain's Got Talent... a show where the winner is invited to perform for the Queen of England herself. Even, if for some unfathomable reason she doesn't take top spot on the show, after all this notoriety and attention, I don't doubt that she'll end up playing for the Queen anyway. She is certainly worthy of that honor.
Her life will definitely no longer be lived in obscurity, as she has already hit the news and talk show circuits in the UK. And now, you'll want to keep your televisions tuned in, in the US and Canada. It's reported that she'll soon be appearing on both "Larry King Live" and the "Oprah Show", as well as other programs I'm sure.
Susan Boyle, all the best to you. There is absolutely no doubt your dream to be a profession singer will finally be realized, and I for one will be out there purchasing your CD's.

Post a Commentvery good job, well said...
What a voice!
She's all over the news. I think she will have a good career now, no matter if she wins the show or not.
Great write up, Penny. I was just amazed by this woman's talent... and it didn't hurt that Les Miz is my favorite book/play/movie and I LOVE that song ("I Dreamed a Dream").
