Susan Lyne Resigns from Martha Stewart Company

Lori Godin
Susan Lyne, the president and CEO of Martha Stewart Living for four years, has stepped down. Earlier in the year there was talk of the CEO wanting out of the company, could this be the reason for her recent resignation? Apparently, she is going to remain an advisor through this period of transition for the company, she has decided that the Martha Stewart company was no longer a good match for her career objectives. According to Market watch, the company is going to hire from within using Harris Millard and Robin Marino sharing the position of CEO, as co-CEO.

I suppose that you could say that I am a Martha Stewart Advocate; I love the products, subscribe to the magazine and watch her daily show like it is religion. I have four favorite Martha Stewart products, but use many others. I guess you could say that I idolize Martha Stewart.

I am a firm believer that if she were not a woman, than she would not been made an example for the insider trading scandal. Regardless of what occurred, I love her products, I love her - and will continue to support the company, regardless of the past activities. This does not affect the product! I am a firm believer in the quality, and good nature of these products, and nothing could affect the way that I feel about the Martha Stewart brand.

As many items in my home are Martha Stewart, I am an avid shopper. I buy many of her products online and enjoy the sheets, towels and other house wares. The sheets are an old favorite, and I have found the towels to be some of the best washing towels that I have ever had.

Martha Stewart Weddings magazine is the first subscription I am sure to renew year after year, although I am not yet engaged, she has a sense of style about her magazine, a sense of maturity and it has given me many, many ideas about what I would like my dream wedding to look like. I await the magazine every single month, along with my magazine of Martha Stewart Living which gives me the inspiration to seek beyond the kitchen, and follow her lead as the domestic diva.

Recently, I was very excited to discover the Martha Stewart craft line for scrap booking and other arts and crafts activities available through many craft stores, as well as on the internet. There is not a week that goes by that I do not purchase something that is Martha Stewart related.

After the discovery of the crafting products designed for card making and scrapbooking I decided to get into scrapbooking. Her products were innovative. In the past when scrapbooking it was a hassle to adhere ribbon to the page without the ribbon bunching, Martha Stewart has created adhesive ribbon strips which are spectacular for scrapbooking.

I will always be a brand ambassador for Martha Stewart. I frequent the website regularly, searching for recipes or information that was on a show, and I would pay for it, if the service were not free.
