If you are a fan of Japanese food, you may find yourself frequenting this restaurant several times a week. The lunchtime buffet comes with assortments of shrimp tempura, miso soup, kara age (pronounced ka-ra ah-gay) chicken, all sorts of noodles, salads, seaweeds and more. For the cost of a sandwich, fries and a drink you could be filling your belly to contentment with your fill of Japanese food.
At night they offer an all you can eat sushi special. The cost is under twenty dollars, which is unheard of if you have ever ordered two or three rolls at a Japanese restaurant. You can eat all the ahi rolls, nigiri rolls, squid, California rolls and much much more.
What makes the experience even better is the fact that the owner is there every night and not only owns the place but goes around and checks on people to see if they need anything extra. She can be seen getting more chopsticks for customers or clearing off tables for waiting patrons.
If you are a fan of sushi or Japanese food then this is the place for you. As you know in the Southwest where Hispanic cuisine seem to reign supreme it is kind of tough to find a place that serves fresh fish, or safe fresh fish. That is no question at Sushi garden. In all the times, mind you probably over a hundred, that I have eaten there, I have never had an experience less than awesome.
Be sure to also check out the different sakes and desserts that they offer. It is even more icing on the cake to a perfect dinner or lunch. Cap that off with the fact that the prices are so darn cheap and one starts to wonder how the heck they stay in business. You need not look any further than the amount of people waiting for a table to realize that their outstanding service is what keeps them in business. And if you are there on a special night you may be treated to the head sushi chef playing his rendition of the National Anthem on his electric guitar. And no, that is not a joke.
