Often accompanied by a hot and pungent wasabi(Japanese horseradish) paste or sauce, these rolls are known as 'maki'.
Sometimes, at sushi restaurants in New Haven, Ct, and elsewhere, the chefs will prepare a form of maki with the sashimi(fish) layered on the outside of the roll, with the rice inside. These are known as 'inside- out rolls'. These items are very popular at all of the sushi restaurants in New Haven.

Post a CommentThe best Japanese restaurant in New Haven or Connecticut is Miya. Actually, Miya's Sushi might be the best restaurant in Connecticut overall, based on the quality of it's food. Though the decor is nothing special, every dish is original and thoroughly delicious. If you love great food, I urge you to go there. If you want a special treat, reserve their sixteen course Kaisei dinner. It is sublime!
