Sushi Samba Dromo: Hot Fusion Sushi in Miami Beach

Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road Offers Some of the Best Sushi in SoBe

Sushi Samba Dromo is the Miami Beach branch of the hugely popular Sushi Samba chain. Ever since Cerrie Bradshaw and her Sex and the City friends dined at Sushi Samba 7 (in New York City's West Village), Sushi Samba locations have been a popular stop for those seeking the Sex and the City lifestyle. While Sushi Samba Dromo in Miami Beach's South Beach might lure people in with it's name, it's the food that keeps them coming back for more.

Located on Lincoln Road, Sushi Samba Dromo offers a mix of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. This funky restaurant creates an eclectic blend of the food, cultures, and sprits of these three unique and different cultures and the results are superb.

The bar offers over 25 different kind of sake in addition to a variety of martinis and frozen drinks. The Nina Fresa, a combination of strawberry puree, and guava and lime juices, is typical of the fusion-style of drinks you'll find here.

The sushi bar, which is at the center of the restaurant, offers the usual array of sushi often infused with a Latin American twist. My favorite and a great example of this fusion thinking is the Bobo Brazil roll. It's pan-seared Kobe beef with avocado, shiso, kaiware, onion, and topped with a chimichurri sauce.

The space in which the restaurant is housed is also as funky and eclectic as the food. The ceiling is covered with a large upturned plastic bubbles that change colors. The multi-level dining room is centered around the sushi bar which lies in the center of the room. At the back, the bar is always packed with Miami Beach types and the occasional celebrity. The whole theme is tied together by the funky lounge music being spun by a DJ.

Miami Beach's Sushi Samba Dromo offers what you'd expect from a top-notch sushi restaurant in the heart of SoBe; good food, with a Latin twist, all wrapped-up in a funky space.

Sushi Samba Dromo is located at 600 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach and can be reached at (305) 673-5337
