Suspicious Child

She just wants to be free.
Why can't the world just let her be?
Smiling is something rare for her;
So people think, she just does not care.
But she cares. In fact, she cares too much.
So, she gets lost in her music, her art, and such.
She knows someday she will really be free.
When He takes her home for eternity.
So she stays busy, just marking time;
And thinks being born was her only crime.
She doesn't trust any one very easily,
And her trust doesn't come freely.
And all she wants is to be free
And wonders again, why the world just can't let her be?
