Swanky Food Market Opens in Boerum Hill
Neighborhood: Carroll Gardens
Brooklyn, NY 11201
United States of America
Sunday marked the grand opening of Brooklyn's very own Foodshed Market. The store opened on The Commons to much fanfare.

Foodshed Market offers a swanky variety of dry-aged Angus beef, yogurt, ice cream, jam, cider, and grains just to name some of the eats locals will be able to find. The store specializes in local artisan foods.

The market is intended to bring you food from soil to stove and can meet the needs of the novice to the die-hard foodie.

Opening day was a fun event and included something for everyone, just as the Foodshed Market will appeal to everyone daily. From kid-friendly food activities to fancy cheese samples, the market definitely made an impression on Carroll Gardens and Boerum Hill locals.

Throughout the store, shoppers will be able to see just how their food got to the Brooklyn location. Signs posted throughout the store show the route each ingredient has taken, how they were grown, and how they were processed.

The Foodshed Market is located at The Commons at 388 Atlantic Avenue between Hoyt and Bond.
