How precious you are
Out of all these worldy treasures
You are the greatest by far
I watch you as you grow taller, older and wiser
The more you grow
The less your need for me
This much I know
That some day you shall have a need
A need so great you can not fill
And when you call upon me
I will be that one
The one who can fill that need
A moment shall you come upon
A moment that you aren't so strong
One that I could help you through
I see you each and every day
A little older then the last
I can not help but to think
That you are growing up to fast
How innocent you are
Sharing toys
Picking flowers
And chasing bees
Soon that will all end
A new trend you will begin
You will be
Chasing boys
Picking colleges
And chasing dreams
Some day you will be
An indepandant somebody
With a family of your own
And all those worries and woes that come with it
Just know
No matter how much you grow
Whether it be taller, older, or wiser
I am still your mother
