Shopping list :
1 ripe pear ( Bartlett are my favorite )
1/2 cup of shelled salted walnuts or candied walnuts
1/2 cup of good quality crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1/4 of craisins
1/4 head of iceberg lettuce
Small head of endive radicchio
large bowl of other assorted mixed greens of your choice
1/3 Good quality dessert Balsamic vinegar or you can make your own reduction
1/4 cup Good quality olive oil
Fresh ground pepper
1/4 cup Orange Juice
Preparation :
Wash, dry and mix all salad greens
Skin and cut pear into about 8 thin slices then cut in 1/2
Combine all ingredients dry into large salad bowl
Prepare vinaigrette by combining orange juice, olive oil, vinegar and fresh ground pepper
Pour dressing over salad and mix thoroughly
Serve salad cool with an extra drizzle of balsamic vinegar
