Is your daughter having a sweet sixteen birthday party? Then you are probably looking for some nice birthday invitations. One great idea is to make birthday party invitations. With a little planning and preparation, you can create pretty and personalized birthday party invitations she'll just love. This craft is easy and simple to make, a beginning crafter can make these with ease and confidence. You should be able to complete these in an afternoon's time, depending on how many cards you have to make.

To make these sweet sixteen birthday party invitations, you will need a photograph for the front of the card. There are several ideas for the type of photo that you could use. It is best to use a photo that reflects your child's personality and style. One cute idea is to use a photograph of your daughter when she was a baby, a photograph that really captures her personality. Another idea is to use a photograph of her when she was a little girl, happily celebrating her birthday at another year. This can be a really cute photograph to use. Another idea is to use a photograph of your daughter from the recent past, like the past six months and again, selecting something that really shows her personality. The best thing is to go through your photographs and let one really stand out, so that one just sort of says to you "that one". You'll know exactly which one to pick when you see it. There are ideas all around you.

The other idea is the style of the card. There are all types of sweet sixteen girls. Some love pink and flowers and others love green and motorbikes. You really want the card to express your daughter's personality. So select a color card that reflects her tastes, not just a pink card because it is a sweet sixteen card. Bright colors can be lots of fun also. There are now so many types of blank cards, you really have many, many choices available to you.

Another way to personalize the card is to add a rubber stamp. There are so many types of rubber stamps. You can literally find a rubber stamp for every hobby, activity and thing you can think of. There are rubber stamps for favorite foods. There are rubber stamps for makeup, clothes, purses. There are rubber stamps for landmarks from foreign countries. There are rubber stamps for animals. Visit any large craft store and find the rubber stamp section, you will be certain to find a rubber stamp that suits your needs.

For this craft you will need:

blank cards

photograph of your choosing

a calligraphy pen (marker style)

glue stick or glue

rubber stamp

stamp ink pad

Begin by counting how many cards you will need, and having that number of photographs printed. It could be useful to have a couple of extra photos printed just in case you need to send some additional invitations out, or if you make a mistake while you are writing one then you will have one of the extras to write out. Then glue the photographs down to the outside of the cards. Write on the outside of the cards above the photograph "Sweet Sixteen" , or another greeting that you would like to use perhaps using your daughter's name and then saying "Birthday", using the calligraphy pen. Try to use a calligraphy pen that is complimentary with the blank cards that you have selected.

Stamp the rubber stamp on the inside of the card at the end of your message. Also stamp the rubber stamp on the outside of the envelope after you have addressed the card, on the back on the envelope. Your sweet sixteen birthday invitation cards are ready to mail out.
