Sweet Tomatoes in Las Vegas: The Salad Buffet Restaurant

When I visited Sweet Tomatoes the other day, I experienced the awesome all-you-can-eat salad bar that is filled with fresh vegetables. I started with the leafy green vegetables, but continued to pile on all the nutritious food like a football team going after a loose ball. This food really will benefit your health while satisfying your taste buds and hungry appetite.

Healthy eating in the form of tasty food is a great quality of a restaurant. Sweet Tomatoes has always believed eating fresh, healthy, wholesome food is an important part of a well-balanced life. Their restaurant was founded on that idea and they're committed to using only the freshest and finest fruits and vegetables.

I especially liked the mushrooms, celery, carrots, squash, tomatoes, peppers, spinach and others. In the way of fruit, there were some great oranges and apples.

Sweet Tomatoes also makes their own soups and these also contain the freshest ingredients. They have a nice variety and I like the Big Chunk Chicken Noodle, Classical Minestrone, Deep Kettle House Chile and Chicken Tortilla with Jalapeno Chiles and Tomatoes.

Next, there is the pasta section. Some of the items include Beefy Meatball Stroganoff, Chicken Tetrazzini, Cilantro Lime Pesto, Smoked Salmon and Dill, and Tuscany Sausage with Capers and Olives. Because I'm such a pizza fan, I mainly concentrated on that and it had great cheese.

Sweet Tomatoes has a large bakery section, but I focused specifically on the Chocolate Brownie Muffins. These were a marvelous texture and warm, just the right temperature with a deep, rich flavor. I believe this is going to be one of the main factors in motivating me to go back to the restaurant often. They also have a lot of unique muffins, Apple Walnut Cake and Focaccia delights. Other appetizing desserts include yogurts, puddings, cookies, cobblers and cakes.

The general atmosphere of Sweet Tomatoes is clean and modern. It is spacious and well-suited for families or gatherings.

Sweet Tomatoes is a 100 per cent zero grams artificial trans-fat-free per serving restaurant. They don't add fresheners or MSG to any of their products.

I arrived at the restaurant during the lunch hour, and the price of the buffet was $8.82, including tax. The price of a drink is another $2.29, but I settled for the refillable water, which was provided for free. The price of dinner is $10.33 including tax, and they have a 10 per cent senior discount. This is not bad for the great variety and quality of food.

I would highly recommend stopping by for a wholesome and healthy dining experience if you're in the northwest part of Las Vegas, or going north on U.S. Highway 95.
