People tend to dismiss Sweetest Day as a day created by corporations to sell candy and cards. For the most part, this is absolutely true. However, it doesn't hurt to be reminded that there is more important thing in life than making money and gaining fame. There are also love, kindness, compassion, and respect. Ideally, we would want everyday a Sweetest Day but that's not how life works these days. The special occasion is celebrated on the third Saturday of October.
