Walt Disney World Typhoon Lagoon features a large tank that guests are allowed to jump in and scuba dive across. The tank features a glorious coral reef, leopard and bonnethead sharks, stingrays and schools of beautful tropical fish.
Guests are sent in to the tank to start their scuba diving exploration in groups of 15 - 20. Guests are not permitted to kick their legs while crossing the tank, and are encouraged to use life jackets if they are not a strong swimmer. Other equipment that is supplied is snorkel and mask, free of charge.
Guests of Typhoon Lagoon Shark Reef who are not quite up for the adventure of swimming with the sharks or are travelling with a smaller child for the week, but would like to view them are invited to view the sharks from a sunken tanker. This allows guests to view the coral reef and all the sea life, including the sharks through portholes in the tanker.
For guests that would like a greater experience under the sea, Supplied Air Snorkelling systems are available for rent at Hammer Head Fred's Dive
This experience is perfect for pre-teens, teens and adults.
An amazing adventure for Shark Week!
