Swimming By

A Poem

Lucky M Diaz
I listened to ducks make "cat calls"
as the Swan swam by,
her wings tucked against her back
away from Water-
who sighed against the shore
and pushed through her feet.
The Swan ignored the commotion
the geese made,
they knew she didn't belong in this Bog,
filling her feathers with filth
without her Love, her Other.
She floated on
to find the dirty, Grey Herring-
who would surely try to kill her the way he did
her Love, Her other.
With her head in the sky,
she planned to kill or to die,
and filled her lungs with air
then gave a cry,
as the ducks made "cat calls"
the Swan swam by.

I really like this....know it's late, but I just read about poem for poem on the forum. I've just submitted my first poem, not been published yet. This is truely remarkable.:)
