It's that time of the year again, summer, fall, winter and spring. That's because anytime of the year you want your toddler to receive swimming lessons is a good time to start. When it comes to New York city, and indoor pools, and swimming lessons for toddlers, there's no shortage.

In fact, if you live in New York, or will be in New York for an extended period of time, and have been thinking about getting your toddler started on swimming lessons, why not head on over to the Asser Levy Recreation Center and take part in some of the swimming lessons for toddlers over there.

If not there, many, many, public recreation centers in New York's Department of Parks and Recreation offer swimming lessons for adults throughout New York.

The times and days at the Asser Levy Recreation Center for free swim classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Call to confirm.

Paid for toddler swimming classes are also available at Asser Levy Recreation Center. Toddlers from 3-5 years old are invited. The instructor isn't named, and the fee isn't listed. Call 212-447-2020 to inquire of more information.

If you want to sign up your toddler for swimming lessons, in person, the Asser Levy Recreation Center is located at the cross streets of East 23rd and FDR Drive. You can catch the 6 train to the Park Ave. South and East 23rd St. stop.

What's great about this facility, too, is if your toddler or anyone going with your toddler for swimming lessons, including you, of course, is in a wheelchair, this facility, as is many, many, New York Department of Parks and Recreational facilities, is outfitted to accommodate you.

This small facility is wheelchair accessible, as well. The pool here is a mini-pool-great for toddlers. Not only are free swimming programs offered for beginning toddlers but for more advance swimming toddlers.
