Choosing colors of clothing for your tan is very similar to swimsuits. The only difference is in a swimsuit your showing a lot more skin, which means a lot more tan or sunburn. Pick a color that will take away any redness and give you a darker contrast on the skin such as Neon, pastel, or bright colors of the rainbow (yellow included)
Swimsuit colors for dark hair woman go with more of a blue shade, orange shade, red and blue mixed, dark hot pink, purple, white, sea green with white, and earth tone shades mixed.
Swimsuit colors for blondes gear more towards pink shades, turquoise, red, black with gold, magenta, red, or emerald green. Most blondes have fair skin, so gear away from pastels, yellow, black, and bright orange. If you need to wear a black swimsuit to make you slimmer, then opt for one with multi-colors. As far as orange opt more for a coral, peach, or tangerine.
Swimsuit colors for redheads go with an olive green, orange red, gold, violet blue, purple, hot pink, teal, black, and even yellow. Personal favorite for redheads is any shade of blue, which can be royal, dark, electric, navy, turquoise, cornflower, baby blue, or sky blue.
When deciding on a swimsuit, do not only think of the suit making you look tanner, consider the style, cut, print, skin tone, and body shape. All of these considerations can either make your tan or break it.
A quick reminder: Darker colors will absorb the sunlight more, which will allow you to get more tan or more red, but you might get too hot as well. Choose wisely.
Need to look tanner for a party, prom, wedding, or date? Make your own self tanner. This is less harm on the skin, and can give you an instant boost mixed with the color swimsuit mentioned above.
One color swimsuit that looks great on every skin tone is neon. Neon colors come in a huge variety and can make anyone look tan. Check out neon orange, flamingo, tangerine, hot pink, ruby red, orchid, and bright neon white.

Post a CommentI also think yellow looks great with dark hair also (I have dark brown hair and I do have a yellow swimsuit). Turquoise looks great with dark hair too (I also have that too).
I just bought a neon green suit -- I guess I made a good choice! ;-)
Nice advice. Your guide for blondes actually matches my taste. Thanks Angel and Happy Easter!
Love these swim suit tips!
Good tips! I'm lucky 'cuz I tan very easily :O)
Thanks for the tips!
Excellent ideas... :o)
Great ideas to make you look as good as you can... brown skin is very pretty.
Good ideas. What happens if you're so pale that a white suit would look darker than you? ;) I don't even want to think about putting on a swim suit yet. Ugh.
I've noticed that since I took my hair a few shades redder, my skin looks less washed out.
