Swine Flu Vaccine for Babies

In these latter days of the mutant swine flu, a beast born of 1990s globalization of the CAFO meat model, the US government has stepped up a vaccination program to eliminate swine flu. After the money is spent and a vaccine procured, the state will begin administering the drug. The government pays to make it, buys it, then pays for the propaganda effort to distribute it. Score for the disease profiteers!

The clinical trials, ostensibly to prove safety and effectiveness of a swine flu vaccine targeting the "primary" strains, will begin in August. There will be two, possibly three, months between testing and distribution to schools, hospitals, and public health clinics of over 100 million projected doses. Maybe three months would be enough time to determine efficacy, during the normal flu season, which the months of August to October are not in.

Three months should be adequate to determine short-term safety. The disease profiteers have avoided looking at long-term safety and efficacy for any vaccine so far, so no reason for them to start worrying about the pesky future when there's a present to enjoy now.

Clinical trials of a swine flu vaccine could be determined by administering the drug to a sample of the population which will receive it. School children, pregnant women, young adults with risky conditions like asthma, toddlers, and possibly formula-fed babies are the targets in the crosshairs. However, the sickly will be weeded out of trials and "healthy" adults will receive the vaccine well before flu season. It's not an ethical issue really, they just don't want the confounding variables of real-life messing up the experiments.

Based on healthy adult response, and trials we have no reason to believe won't be manipulated in other ways, the swine flu vaccine will be declared safe. Should injuries occur, they will be directed to the National Vaccine Injury Board, where government will pick up the tab for any "problems."Anything can happen after all, and we don't want our Big Pharma to suffer because of some silly accident that wasn't his fault. The swine flu virus killed one baby down in Texas, a baby from Mexico, and we cried Uncle. Well, don't worry, Uncle Sam and Big Pharma gonna take real good care of ya'll and ya'lls chilluns.
