Swipe Umbrella Wipe Review

A Cheap and Easy Way to Dry Your Umbrella

Carl Funkhouser
This is a description of Swipe Umbrella Wipe. It is a product I invented and am quite proud of. I like to invent and, perhaps like you, have seen many of my ideas developed by others. I thought of a napkin to brush your teeth with. Someone else did it. I thought of putting reflective panels on satellites to warm cold areas of the planet. The Russians did it. I thought of a hard collar to fit on a shovel so you wouldn't break your foot.
Some one else got that too. But then I had a great idea,an umbrella that folds inside out. It traps the water inside.

Well I made one after several hours and only stopped my efforts when I learned what it cost to get a patent. Then two horrible things happened. A woman on the Next American Inventor had the same idea and was one of
the finalist. She washed out but another person in Japan has made one and stolen my thunder. But the other day I thought things through and came up with the perfect, cheap, solution to the wet umbrella.

I have a product called Swipe Umbrella Wipe for sale on the internet. It is an elastic, cotton tube that you fit over the top of your umbrella and slide down. The water is absorbed after one or two passes. The item fits on the handle of your Umbrella till needed again.

The benefits of this seem obvious to me. You don't pay a lot for a reversible umbrella. You don't use environmentally unfriendly plastic umbrella bags. Swipe costs $5.00 each at this point and are very durable.

The drawbacks to the Swipe Umbrella Wipe is that it does become damp. You need to dry it after a few uses. It also works better with umbrellas that come to a point instead of those with fatter heads. Still it works on both.
It feels much better not to have the wet thing in car or home.

I am not in the business of tooting my own horn. I have given many reviews before in an unbiased fashion. I can say that I believe this is a new invention and I have fairly reviewed it. Please visit my site at
