Swirsky provides a "partial list" of individuals and groups that have put forth challenges to Obama's eligibility for the presidency. Included on the list: Attorney Philip J. Berg, former deputy attorney general of Pennsylvania; WorldNetDaily blogger Jeff Schreiber; forensic psychologist Dr. T.B. Bradley; author, radio host, blogger and Chicago attorney Andy Martin; former presidential candidate Alan Keyes; retired Lieutenant Colonel Donald Sullivan; David M. Neal of Ohio; Cort Wrotnowski of Connecticut; Steven Marquis of Washington State; Reverend Tom Terry of Georgia; author Jerome Corsi; Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro (I wasn't aware that she had put forth a challenge; only that she had named two different hospitals where Obama might have been born-the article is not clear about any challenge, although she is included on the list); retired attorney Leo C. Donofrio; a citation from Douglas J. Hagmann of HomelandSecurityUS.com that says 17 lawsuits in 12 states have been filed; "numerous" activist groups; a series of websites ( Citizens for the United States Constitution, We The People, PeoplesPassion, America Must Know, and Faith2Action); "dozens" of petitions; and a citation referencing "dozens of mostly-conservative writers...bloggers and journalists" who have written about this issue.
Swirsky says that media bias favoring Obama makes it no surprise that this story has failed to gain any traction. She writes, "Having shilled for Obama for the past two years - dismissing his longtime radical associations, obfuscating his radical voting record, and taking a pass at their jobs of vetting a presidential candidate - their failure to cover the most explosive story of the 2008 campaign speaks volumes about collusion of the highest order."
Swirsky takes aim at conservative media outlets as well, including Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Nothing on the issue from any of these conservative personalities. Their silence, and the expected silence of the mainstream media, was perplexing to Ms. Swirsky, who says, "...the case of the U.S. media's complete non-coverage of this major story has gotten me to speculate on what - or who - may be behind this phenomenon. What force could be so powerful as to silence our country's putative guardians of free speech - the titans of the Fourth Estate?"
Her explanation (really a theory, not definitive fact) is truly bizarre. In short, none other than the President of the United States, George W. Bush, is behind the birth certificate cover up. I'm not kidding. Check it out for yourself here: http://www.therant.us/staff/swirsky/2008/11242008.htm
