Pregnancy symptoms are going to vary from woman to woman and one may experience all of them while the other may only experience a few. There is always the chance that they may be experienced right as soon as conception occurs and another may take a few weeks. Some of the lucky women may never experience any pregnancy symptoms at all!
One of the first sure pregnancy symptoms are nausea and vomiting. This is also called "morning sickness" although that doesn't always mean that it'll happen in the morning. Women may also experience it in the afternoon and evening as well. There is no explanation for why women get queasy, but it can be alleviated by eating crackers or small meals throughout the day.
Frequent urination and tender breasts are also common pregnancy symptoms. Someone who is pregnant usually has a swelled uterus and this causes pressure to be put on their bladder, which in turn causes them to feel the need to urinate more frequently. A woman's breasts may also be very tender or swollen. This is caused by the increasing amount of HCG that begins at implantation.
Feelings of tiredness and sluggishness are pregnancy symptoms which are more than obvious. A woman's body is going through major hormonal changes. Other pregnancy symptoms associated with this are dizziness or fainting. This is because the growing uterus compresses the major arteries in your legs. So, if you are standing in an area for a long period of time without moving, you may start to feel dizzy or get headaches. Also, skipping meals may cause you to feel faint, which is why it's important to take care of yourself and eat small meals throughout the day.
Other pregnancy symptoms which are no fun at all are constipation, irritability and heartburn. Constipation usually only gets worse as time goes on and a woman's insane hormones are the cause of irritability. Irritability usually decreases into the second trimester. Heartburn/acid reflux is a common symptom which is not comfortable and unfortunately can last throughout the entire time a woman is pregnant.
Of course, pregnancy symptoms are not always the positive side of being pregnant, but after your baby makes his or her appearance at birth, you will soon forget about everything you experienced and realize why it was all worth it.
