AmyBrowne
What are the symptoms associated with use of the Herbal Bath Salts? Are they are dangerous as the media is reporting? If herbal bath salts are so bad, why are they being sold.

If your child or someone you know has used this product, the dangers are very real. As word spreads about this drug, it becomes more popular so it's important to know the names. The following brand names of herbal bath salts are currently on the market; Charge +, Charlie, Cloud-9, Hurricane, Ivory Wave, Ocean, Red Dove, Scarface, Spark-20, Stardust, White Dove and White Lightning. The packaging does state that the contents are not meant for human consumption but it is ignored.

These herbal bath salt products are sold in convenience stores, stores that carry cigarette supplies, gas stations, etc where it has no age requirements to purchase. At twenty bucks, it's a cheap high for many young teenagers who can easily make the money doing odd jobs around the neighborhood.

People of all ages can snort, inject, and smoke the herbal bath salts to produce a super high that continues to get stronger even though they are not ingesting more. The super high produces similar effect of amphetamines, crack, meth, or cocaine. However the drug in the herbal bath salts does not level off so it appears that the user is continually dong it. Even though they might not have taken a dose or a hit in 2 or 3 days, the drug keeps getting stronger and the symptoms keep getting worse.

Herbal bath salts produce hallucinogenic effects, anxiety, paranoia, delusions, insomnia, vivid nightmares, and suicidal thoughts. Other bad side effects on the human body include high blood pressure, severe stomach pains, vomiting, and seizures. It's a cheap way to die a horrific death.

Who is at most risk for abusing these herbal bath salts? People who are addicted and on parole as well as employees and active duty military who want a clean 'piss test' are at risk of death. Teenagers are also at risk as the products are sold in stores where there is no age requirement.

These herbal bath salt packages are sold because they are popular with drug addicts and other people who use drugs on occasion. Many states have banned the use of selling these products. Perhaps it is time for mangers, purchasing agents, and owners of stores, which sell these herbal bath salt products to take the stand and refuse to sell these products in their establishments.
