SYTYCD 2010, July 15 Elimination Results for Season 7's Top 7 dancers. America voted last night, placing the three dancers with the least votes in the bottom three. They will dance for their lives, except for Ashly Galvan who was injured during a Monday rehearsal- she experienced rib pains. Due to her injury, she is in the bottom three by default and will not dance tonight.

Live from Hollywood, the males dressed in zoot suits and the girls in dresses, the Top 7 (minus Ashley) with the All-Star regulars began the show with a Broadway routine choreographed by Tyce DiOrio to Paul Gemignani's 'Charleston' from Billion Dollar Baby.

Just before the dancers learn their fates- whether they will stay or be cut- the judges' appraisals of their performances from last night are reviewed.

The first dancers to learn their SYTYCD fates were: Lauren Froderman and Kent Boyd. Host Cat Deeley pronounced both as safe! That's no surprise. Both are consistently excellent dancers. And Kent has the tween votes locked up.

Next up: Two young students of Mary Murphy's jived to Elvis Presley's 'Jailhouse Rock'.

The next dancers to learn their fates were
: Billy Bell and AdéChiké Tobert. Cat pronounced Billy to be in the bottom three. AdéChiké is safe!

The last dancers to learn their fates were: Robert Roldan and Jose Ruiz. The last person to enter the bottom three was Jose. Robert is safe!

Next up: Jamal Roberts & Rachel McLaren of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater danced to 'Gravity's Angel' by Lauren Anderson. Then, all-stars tWitch Boss & Comfort Fedoke danced to 'Forever' by Chris Brown.

Dance Solos in the Dancer's Style: The first dancer in danger to dance for his life was Billy Bell. He danced Contemporary to 'Stand by Me' by Ben E. King. The next to dance for his life was B-Boy Jose Ruiz. He performed to 'Chicken Bone Circuit' by RJD2. Injured Ashley did not dance, of course.

Judges Deliberation: Cat sent the judges- Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels, Adam Shankman- backstage to deliberate about which dancer to send home. Meanwhile, Christina Perri played the piano and sang her 'Jar of Hearts', which became an instant hit after choreographer Stacey Tookey used the music for her Contemporary piece two weeks ago, danced by Billy Bell and all-star Kathryn McCormick. Tonight, Neil Haskell and Kathryn danced the roles as Perri performed.

During her introduction to Christina, host Cat Deeley said the recording artist was a waitress three weeks ago but thanks to Stacey's use of her song, she's a musical performer negotiating with various record labels. iTunes has sold 100,000 downloads so far. Check out Christina Perri and a video of her 'Jar of Hearts' here.

The 'Cut' Decision: The judges decided: Billy Bell and Jose Ruiz are staying; Ashley Galvan is leaving. Her two doctors, after seeing her x-ray, determined she needs three to five weeks rest. Thus, she would have to miss a second week of competing, which is against the rules. So, the judges must let her go.

As a member of the Top 10, she is scheduled to go on the summer tour. Nigel told her it's in her best interest that he and the other judges defer to the doctors prognosis. Also on tour with the Top 10 will be dancers from seasons 6 and 7, as well as this season'ss new group, the twelve all-stars.

Next Wednesday, the Top 6 dancers will dance. Next Thursday, another dancer will be cut. The guy-to-girl ratio is now 5:1.
