SYTYCD 2010, June 24 Elimination Results for Season 7's Top 9 dancers. America voted last night, placing three dancers with the least votes in danger. Those dancers will dance for their lives. The judges will decide which one will leave the stage for the last time as a competitor. Live from Hollywood, the Top 9 kicked off the show with a routine choreographed by Jamal Sims to the music 'O Fortuna' by Carmina Burana (London Symphony Orchestra).

The first dancers to learn their fates, after a review of their performances last night were: Alex Wong; Ashley Galvan; AdéChiké Torbert; Kent Boyd. Host Cat Deeley pronounced all three safe. She teased Kent and then let him know he is safe.

The next dancers to learn their fates, after a review of their performances last night were: Lauren Froderman; Robert Roldan; Billy Bell. Lauren was the fourth to learn that she's safe. The first person in the bottom three was Billy. The next to learn his fate was Robert. He also was in the bottom three.

The last dancers to learn their fates, after a review of their performances last night were: Jose Ruiz; Melinda Sullivan. Melinda placed in the bottom three. Jose is safe!

Next up. Mark Kanemura and Courtney Galiano reprised their hit routine from Season 3 'The Garden' by Mirah, choreographed by Sonya Tayeh. Then, Cirque du Soleil's cast of 'Viva Elvis', direct from Las Vegas and joined by SYTYCD dancers Chris Jarosz and Marquis Cunningham from Season 4, performed to 'Didja' Ever/ Return to Sender' by Elvis Presley. The choreography was by Napoleon & Tabitha D'Umo and Mandy Moore.

Dance Solos in the Dancer's Style: The first dancer in danger to dance for his life was Billy. He danced Contemporary to 'Fly' by Ludovico Einaudi. The next to dance for his life was Robert, who danced Contemporary to 'Hater' by Various Productions. Last, Melinda tap danced, sans music.

Judges Deliberation: Cat sent the judges- Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels, Adam Shankman- backstage to deliberate about which dancer to send home. Meanwhile, Ne-Yo performed 'Beautiful Monster' from his upcoming new album Libra Scale.

The 'Cut' Decision. The decision was unanimous. Billy Bell and Robert Roldan are safe and Melinda Sullivan will go home. The guy-to-girl ratio is now 6:2.

Next week, the Top 8 dancers will dance and another dancer will be cut. But there is a change. Each dancer will dance two routines-one with an all-star whom he has not yet danced with and the other with one of his competitors. With so many more guys than girls, there will be more same-sex routines than mixed-sex.

July 31 will become National Dance Day.
