With her platinum blonde bob, brutal honesty and petite, black-clad frame, Tabatha Coffey struck fear in the hearts of many a slacker salon owner during the first season of her hit Bravo show, "Tabatha's Salon Takeover." Coffey will return to the airwaves on November 3 to whip ten more subpar salons into shape.

The premise of the show has Coffey visiting struggling salons around the country in an attempt to diagnose why the salon is failing. After secretly taping the salon and its stylists in action, Coffey reviews the footage with the salon owners before declaring she would "take over," and force the salon owners to hand over the keys to the salon along with total control of the establishment. Among the ills Coffey came across were unskilled stylists, cramped work stations, filthy salons and apathetic owners. During the takeover, Coffey gives scathing assessments of business practices, stylist's performances and salon décor. Coffey would then demo and remodel the salons, overhaul marketing efforts and make staff suggestions including who to hire and fire. Many salon owners resisted Tabatha's changes and several times during the season, Coffey was cussed out and disparaged behind her back. However, in one memorable episode, Coffey overheard one staff member complain to someone on the phone about the "blonde bitch from 'Shear Genius' " being in the salon and later busted him for his comments. Salon owners who implemented Coffey's changes often saw a dramatic increase in productivity and revenue.

Among the most over-the-top moments from Season One included Images Salon in New York State where the stylists were prone to low cut tops, cursing at each other and using everyday kitchen foil on clients instead of hair foils; the de Cielo Salon in California where the styling chairs were up on cement blocks and moldy towels were in the dryer and Giovanni & Pileggi salon in New Jersey where salon owner, Martino, licked the clients.

Coffey was first introduced to American television audiences as a contestant on Bravo's hairstyling competition show, "Shear Genius." During her tenure on the show, Coffey won the majority of the challenges before being eliminated during the sixth episode. Coffey was eventually named Fan Favorite by viewers, which led to Bravo developing a show for her.

A native of Australia, Coffey began her career in hairdressing at the age of 14 as a salon assistant. She apprenticed in Australia for four years before moving to London for additional training. Coffey owns Industrie Hair Gurus in Ridgewood, New Jersey and for eleven years was a member of the artistic team for Joico, an international product company. Coffey has also served as an editorial stylist for such fashion and beauty publications as Seventeen, Marie Claire and Mademoiselle and has worked as a stylist during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. According to her Web site Coffey plans to launch her own hair care line for consumers.

During Season Two of Tabatha's Salon Takeover, Coffey is slated to visit salons in California, Miami and Chicago. "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" will air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
