Tai Pei's Combination Lo Mein Dinners - Product Review

Candus
I was at the grocery store this past weekend and was looking for something different to cook for dinner. As I wandered toward the freezer aisle I stumbled upon a huge black box that caught my eye. It was a combination dinner of Lo Mein complete with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Also included was noodles, sauce and vegetables. For the price of $3.99 I had to try it so I bought it.

I was very excited to try this dish because my husband and I love Chinese food. We get tired of the every day dishes that I prepare and let's face it, we get tired of standing in the kitchen cooking at the stove at the end of a long day.

So the fact that this product was quick to fix was another great selling point for me. It comes packaged in a black box with a beautiful colorful photo of the dish on the box. It tempts you and catches your eye right off the bat. It comes in a 40 ounce box.

How can anyone resist tender Lo mein noodles tossed in a Asian style sauce with snap beans and celery and carrots? Then they add chicken and beef and pieces of shrimp and pork to complete the combination dinner.

This combination dish has eleven grams of protein as well as being low fat. A serving size is one cup and that will give you 150 calories. The calories from fat in this is 20 and there is no trans fats in the product at all. There is only 25 milligrams of cholesterol in it as well.

The sodium inside is around 530 mg and 20 grams of carbohydrates are packed in as well. Another great thing I enjoyed about this product is I get 30 % of my Vitamin A with this package. I have since found after purchasing this combination dinner that Tai Pei makes entrees and skillets as well as appetizers, so I'll be trying them next.

I love the easy way to prepare this dish as well. Simply pop in microwave and get your noodles done and set aside then run hot water over your sauce and stir fry your meat and vegetables in a pan for a few minutes and your finished. Throw together a salad or bread or even egg rolls and you have your dinner complete.

I purchased my Tai Pei meal at The Grocery Outlet in The Dalles, Oregon, area.
