If you're a local looking for a new place to absorb real art, then the Artists' Television Access (ATA) is a spot to check out. Find open screenings, at a low cost, for independent films with various influences. Operating through grants by director Lex Lonehood, the ATA is offering a venue to all artists, and is creating their audiences out of the community.
On Friday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m., "The Invisible Forest," a film by Antero Alli, will be debuted. To read a first-hand critique of this film, one which will pull in any open-minded theater types, go to this site. Additionally, on Sept. 13, from 7 to 10 p.m., Pablo Guardiola will present "Marco Polo."
The ATA is located at 992 Valencia St.. To contact, please call (415) 824-3890 or visit www.atasite.org.
