Take Five for a Cinco De Mayo Poem

Rachel Heller
Spring is around the corner and so is the merry month of May. May starts with the letter M and so does Mexico. This is good because May is the month in which Cinco De Mayo is celebrated. Cinco De Mayo means the fifth of May. It is also a day to celebrate Mexican culture. A muy bueno way to celebrate Mexican culture is by writing a poem about Cinco De Mayo.

C: is for celebrating Mexican culture
I: is for fried ice cream. This ice cold dairy treat is delicious.
N: is for noche and nacho cheese. Noche is Spanish for night.
C: is for chilled strawberry margaritas.
O: is for Ocho Ocho is Spanish for eight.

D: is for for dancing
E: is for egg dish. Huevos Rancheros is a great egg dish.

M: is for Mexico
A: is for Adios Adios is Spanish is goodbye.
Y: is for yellow Amarillo is Spanish for yellow.
O: is for ole.

Happy Cinco De Mayo.
