Take Your Husband on a Date Week March 1-8

There's nothing wrong with being proactive in the romance department. I offer these seven date ideas for couples in Philadelphia to start the home stretch of winter with a little fun and romance. Perhaps I have been inspired by the upcoming ever so fun Sadie Hawkins day which is fast approaching. There are great restaurant's you might try near each event like XIX before or after Pink Martini, Rx before or after the Arts League performance series and The Mission Grill after a trip to the museum. They are located at Broad and Walnut, 46th and Spruce and 19th and Arch, respectively.

March 4 (Tue): Pink Martini, featuring China Forbes, Performs at the Kimmel Center
China is a friend of mine I met in high school. She had and still has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard and she is also quiet beautiful to look at.
Her band plays a unique and original blend of classical themed popular music. The last time I saw them was at the World Cafe Live several years ago and I am not at all surprised to see they are now playing a larger center city venue. I couldn't be prouder of her or more excited to be there with the Mr. The tickets are either 45 or 36 dollars a piece. If you go a great place to dine before or after is XIX in the Bellevue, which is just across the street.
Somewhere between a 1930s Cuban dance orchestra, a classical chamber music ensemble, a Brazilian marching street band and Japanese film noir is the 12-piece Pink Martini.

March 5 (Wed): Frida Kahlo at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Last Ticket time is 3:30 p.m. and the Museum closes at 5p.m.
On Tuesday night at 7 p.m. there's a special on NBC10 which will give you a sneak peak at this fine Mexican Artists' work. It features paintings and photos of her and the love of her life Diego Rivera. If you go a great place to dine would be a Piano/Wine Bar on Arch with a kinda creepy name.
