Treats and Eats
There are treats that I always get when I watch the Rockies play. A baseball game would not be complete without a hot dog. Instead of spending many dollars at the over priced stadium concessions, there are numerous vendors outside the baseball park ready to sell you a dog for $1.50. You can enjoy your dog inside of Coors Stadium as long as it remains sealed before entering the ballpark.
Essential Drink
My beverage of choice is a bottle of water. Baseball is a summer sport and there are many games played in sweltering heat. Outside vendors have frozen water available that stays cold for many innings. They cost $1 for 12oz and $2 for 20oz. The outside vendors, also, sell Gatorade and soda. You can keep them chilled in a cooler (not larger than 16 x 16) as you watch the game.
Nuts 'n' More
Hot, roasted peanuts are something to experience. There is a guy that roasts them outside Coors stadium and sells them for $2 a bag. The amount of peanuts is not large (about ΒΌ of a brown lunch bag), but the taste is so much better than regular, shelled peanuts.
When I'm not in the mood for peanuts a tasty alternative is pistachios. The vendors outside Coors stadium sell a sandwich size bag for $4. Pistachios have a different taste than peanuts and you can enjoy your nut in a shell. As you watch your team play, you can crack open the shell and pop the nut in your mouth for a nice crunch that goes well with beer.
If you're not a fan of nuts or allergic, another favorite snack I enjoy is kettle popcorn. The taste is a mix of sweet and salt, which I like to drink with a Killian or Sandlot microbrew beer. A very, large bag of kettle popcorn can be purchased from an outdoor vendor for $4. It's such a bargain and the bag is so big you can share with your friends!
Here are few of my favorite eats as I cheer on the Rockies!
