Movie and TV buffs alike share a personal connection with their favorite media programs. Something special touches your heart or mind or subconscious to make the film resonate with you. You can watch them over and over and still enjoy your favorite parts and find something new you have never noticed before. A very unique way to connect with your favorite television program or feature film is to go on a tour of the sights shown in them. Many movie production companies offer tours of their own sound stages and sets but several location specific films and T.V. series can be toured as well. The Sopranos, Sex in the City and Twilight are just a few of the many different tours available to be able to catch a real feel for your favorite fictional folks.

On Location Tours

On Location Tours has a guided bus tour of all the best Soprano's sites. People who love the show based on a mafia boss, Tony Soprano, who was in constant turmoil over his home and work life struggles can see the top locations from the show canceled in 2006. The tour includes the sites seen in the opening credits of the Manhattan skyline, Lincoln Tunnel, the giant muffler man and Pizzaland. Stops are also made at lesser known locations that were still featured in significant episodes like the strip club Bada Bing, Cleveland Auto Body and Holsten's -where the final scene of the last episode.

On Location Tours also offers a Sex in the City tour. Fans of the HBO series and movies can see actual stores, shops, restaurants and locations used in both. Walk the same streets as Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. The route includes stops at the Scout bar for a Cosmo, the SoHo art gallery where Charlotte worked and more than 40 other specific sites used in Sex and the City movies and series. Of course, The Plaza Hotel is included. Shop, drink and gab it up where Carrie and company actually stood.

Fans of the Twilight book series by Stephanie Myer can also tour their favorite locations. Enjoy the guided bus tour through the actual town of Forks, Washington to see Bella's house, the Cullen mansion, the home of Jacob Black and the Forks high school and hospital. Visit the Forks chamber of commerce and see the '51 Chevy truck Bella drives and settle in for a ride out to La Push, the sacred land of the local Indian tribes. The land the vampire Cullen family is not allowed to traverse.

Taking your passion for film and literature to this extreme adds a certain extra level of pleasure. Totally immersing yourself in the illusion gives us a break from reality and a super exciting vacation. Next time you fall in love with a piece of fiction, check out the tours.
