Take Precautions to Avoid Flea Problems in Your Cat

When you find a qualitative change in the behavior of your cat and the fur of the cat does not look like the same, you can bet on flea infestation. You should mark the symptoms very closely. A constant itching and the pet scratching its body is a sign of the attack. You find dark little things crawling over the body of your cat. There are several brands available in the market for this kind of immediate treatment. Just apply the liquid on the shoulder blades of the cat repeatedly, fleas would be gone. There are natural treatments available for cat fleas. They may be a little bit painful for the cat but they give excellent results. Just give a thorough bath to your cat with soap water for a couple of times a day. When the fur gets dried, use the flea comb to take out flea eggs from the cat's fur. Use this combing process several times a day and also during night to keep it flea free. The use of lemon-juice type repellent can be useful to destroy fleas and their eggs under the fur. You should use your hand to take out the fleas and its eggs from the cat's fur.

Whatever may be the procedure of treatment adopted by you, you should use the vacuum cleaner to clean your house and its cushions. Finally use the steam cleaning process to get rid of fleas. Make sure that you wash all of your bedding, pillows and cushions of the house in a hot water mixture with detergent.

Prevention is always known to be better than cure. You should take up all these procedures before the flea has struck your home and your cat and you will not worry about a cat flea problem anymore. Always five some garlic to the cat in its food and use apple cider vinegar in its water that the cat drinks. If the cat refuses to drink the mix water, spray some apple cider vinegar on the cat regularly to be safe from the flea attack.
