Take a Shower and Tan at the Same Time with the Shower Tanner

There are millions of crazy ideas brought to reality every year. Many of these ideas just seem bonkers and you wonder how they ever reached reality. One such design is the Shower Tanner. This is a product that incorporates the ability to tan your body while you are showing. It just sounds like a bad ideas from the get go. However, I was interested in finding out more about the product at a recent demonstration and here is my review and thoughts on it.

The makers behind the Shower Tanner want your life easier. They believe that some people just do not have the time to go tanning everyday. We do make time to shower everyday, so the designers came up with the bright idea of combining the two. The first thought that popped into my mind is wouldn't you get burned by having water on your body while being tanned? This was discussed and the makers created a way for this to not happen by decreasing the amount of UV light you receive while showing. There is a timer to turn off the UV lamps if your in the shower for too long as well.

It should be understand that it is not the intention of the Shower Tanner to tan you in just one day. This device is meant to give you a golden over a period of time. Perhaps the best benefit of the Shower Tanner is that the UV lamps used will stimulate your skin into producing Vitamin D. Your body needs Vitamin D so that your skin can remain elastic and healthy. I think it is pretty cool to have the ability to get healthy while doing a normal daily task.

The appearance of the UV lights in your shower can be either intimidating or memorizing. It appears that the makers basically took a tanning bed and inserted it into the wall of a shower. However, their version is much better than traditional tanning beds because of the built in safety features to protect you from being burned, the ability to adjust the program to meet your skin type, and the fact that it is in your shower so you can do two things at once.

My overall impression of the Shower Tanner drastically changed after seeing it in person. I had my hesitation due to not have enough information about how it actually works. To be honest, I was really worried about the risk of being burned at first. The company made me feel better about everything once they showed a group of us a live demo. The only bad news is that the product is only available on a testing basis right now. Plans are to launch the product for home use sometime next year. It will be interesting to see how many people purchase the product once they understand how great it really is.
