Take a Test 45 Out of a 100 Cannot Read This

Cathy Pelekakis
I have some very warped friends and they send me all types of articles and funny stories. I received the one below from a former co-worker Stephen Brooks, and I have no idea where he got it from but it was a very fun exercise for the mind and eye. When we were children we were taught that spelling was necessary and each of us while in school learned the fundalmentals of spelling and grammer. Several years ago an era of early learning called "phonics" was introduced to teach children how to read, not spell correctly but to read. I thought that I would pass it along to see how many people out of a hundred can actually read and understand the message below. Try it, it is fun:

fi yuo cna raed tihs, yuo hvae a sgtrane mnid too. Cna yuo raed tihs? Olny 55 plepoe out of 100 can. I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!

See what brilliant minds we all have. Are you one of the fifty five out a hundred that can read and understand the paragraph above? Feel free to pass this along to your friends to see if they are one of the fifty five out of a hundred that can understand the paragraph? Have fun.

It's actually 100 out of 100 literate people who can read that. Statistically, even dyslexic people can read that better than normal sentences.

I'm dyslexic and could read it with no problem lol
