"Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story" is based on the real life drama of a mother's nightmare when her child is kidnapped and taken to another country. The made for TV movie premieres on Lifetime TV on January 31, 2011. The cast of "Taken From Me: includes Taraji P. The story of Amanda Knox, who is currently imprisoned in Italy for the murder of another student will be told in the Lifetime TV Original Movie "Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy" (premiere in 2011).

Tiffany Rubin is the courageous mother who traveled into dangerous territory on the opposite side of the world to recover her son. Actress Taraji portrays Tiffany Knox, the woman who faced danger to get her son back from his father.

Tiffany Rubin and her son Kobe (Drew Davis) enjoyed a nice family life with her husband, who is not her son's biological father. Following a court decision about visitation rights for Kobe's biological father, Tiffany allowed him to take Kobe on a week-long trip to Walt Disney World.

Several days later Tiffany learned that they had not gone to Disney World, but to Seoul, South Korea. The country does not recognize parental rights and for Tiffany to recover her son was a very dangerous mission.

Tiffany Rubin, a public school teacher in Queens, NY, had no money to hire a private investigator and got little help from authorities. She turned to Mark Miller (Terry O'Quinn), founder of the American Association. Together they plan a dangerous and harrowing rescue.

According to an article in the New York Daily News, dated March 27, 2008, the saga of Kobe and Tiffany Rubin began in August, 2007, when his father, secretly whisked him away to South Korea. The father, Jeffrey Sako, had been battling Rubin over custody for over a year when he abducted their son. `

With the help of Mark Miller, Kobe was located in a town near Seoul, Korea. They were able to make contact with Kobe when he was at school. Tiffany quickly disguised him with a wig and walked him away from school, while Miller r stayed behind to run interference, if necessary. They made a clean getaway and sought refuge at the U.S. Embassy until they could get a flight back to America.

"Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story" premieres on Lifetime TV at 9:00 p.m. ET. The movie is followed by a documentary about the story, "Beyond the Headlines: The Tiffany Rubin Story."
