Taking Advantage of Wal-Mart's Clearance Prices on Clothing

Save Even More

Keeping up on your child's wardrobe can be challenging. It is next to impossible to keep your children from getting stains on their clothing. These deep stains can't be removed and the clothes often become play clothes or they are put in the garbage. This can become expensive for all parents.

Many parents shop at Wal-Mart for the lowest prices and sales on clothing. However, there is an even cheaper way to go about purchasing clothing for your children. It is called "shopping for the future", what does this mean? I have found a way to purchase my clothing at the lowest prices possible. I am even able to purchase clothing at the same price it cost the company.

Shopping for the future at Wal-Mart is what it is all about. Summer and fall are the perfect times to do your future shopping. When the new school year starts all parents are out shopping for school clothes. I start my shopping for the new school year in the fall. Spring and summer clothing are very inexpensive in the fall. Wal-Mart has to get rid of this stock to make room for their fall inventory. They start off marking spring and summer clothing down by only a few dollars. As time goes by these items are marked down even more. Eventually you can purchase shirts that normally would cost you seven to ten dollars, are now three dollars to only a dollar fifty. This is the same for shorts and other summer clothing.

This is what I do, I go shopping in the fall for the summer clothes I need. This way I can purchase five summer shirts that will only cost me around eleven dollars. Normally the five shirts would cost me around thirty to thirty five dollars, a savings of twenty to twenty four dollars. This adds up when you have to purchase clothing for more than one child. When you go shopping for your children in the fall for their school clothes, here is what you should do. If your child wears a size 10/12 in shirts, go up one size and buy size 12/14 or 14/16, knowing the clothes will shrink a bit after washing. Do the same when purchasing shorts or jeans. I have purchased nice shirts at Wal-Mart for three dollars. These shirts were normally eleven dollars, a savings of eight dollars. I purchased three of these shirts in different colors, paying only nine dollars for all three. This saved me twenty four dollars, so imagine if you had three children to shop for.

Shopping for fall clothes at Wal-Mart can be just as cheap. The way to do this is to shop for your child's fall clothes in the summer. Right before spring and summer huge sales go on to make room for the spring and summer inventory. All fall clothing is marked down to sell. Go straight to the clearance racks where you will find clothing for three dollars to a dollar fifty. Just remember to buy a size larger than the size your child is into now and put them up till the summer or fall when you will need them and watch the savings.
