While I was reading one of the many online political discussion forums I'd stumbled across what I believe to be a plan that's pure genius. Best of all it's not very complicated; seems more common sense than anything else. I wish I could say I'd thought of this plan myself. But I didn't. I did however, gain Mr Thomas Quinn, Jr's permission to share his plan with my readers.
Mr Thomas Quinn, Jr's Plan To Pay Off The National Debt
1. Stop giving money to foreign nations. If you had 5 kids and a house, would you feed, buy clothes, renovate your neighbor's kids and homes, before you took care of your own? No. When our country has an educational system that is #1 again, when our unemployment is 3%, when we do not have child hunger, gangs out of control, etc... We can start helping other countries again.
2. Get rid of the UN on our soil and stay out of it. Why are we spending money on a corrupt organization?
3. Restrict Congress to voting on one bill at a time. Adding pork is not allowed. Put the bill online for 30 days before the vote so we can see what they are spending our money on.
4. No government hand outs (ie welfare, etc) without a drug test.
5. Seal the border and deport all non-citizens.
6. Lower corporate taxes. Over 600 businesses left the US for Ireland and many, many more left to go to India. Why? 12% Corporate taxes there.
7. Pass laws that force all companies that sell products, do business or are based in America to pay all workers around the globe our minimum wage. This will stop companies from using cheap labor in foreign countries.
8. Break up the Unions, by enforcing RICO laws. Too many of them are criminal organizations. Stop allowing them to buy politicians.
9. Enforce harsh tariffs on countries that limit US goods or place tariffs on our goods.
Are you paying attention, President Obama? This guy seems pretty sharp to me. Maybe you ought to consider giving Mr Quinn a position in your circle of advisors. This is all simple stuff that's pretty basic and easy for the average American to understand. It is my guess that a man of your superior intelligence should be able to comprehend the plan and put it into effect.
Well, a girl can dream... Can't she?
