Taking a First Date in Fort Lauderdale

3 Ideal Places to Spend Wonderful Moments in Your Friend's Company

Robenson Louis
I have been talking on the phone to my wife-to-be for while. Then, I felt it was time to take a first date to get a fair idea about the kind of person she was. However, I did not know best places to go in Fort Lauderdale until a close friend told me about Sun Trust Sunday Jazz Brunch on the Riverwalk, John U. Llyoyd Park and Beach, and Fort Lauderdale History Center. For our first date we visited the Riverwalk to enjoy a live concert. The following week we went at the beach before experiencing a museum's charms. Those are wonderful destinations to take your friend-to be for a first date.

1. Experiencing Sun Trust Sunday Jazz Brunch on the Riverwalk

The Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale would be a nice place, and an ideal destination to take a first date. It is a free, and live, Jazz concert called "Sun Trust Jazz Brunch" that is being held on the first Sunday of each month in Fort Lauderdale's scenic Riverwalk from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Meeting your new friend at this outdoor concert would be fabulous. If you need privacy, plenty of spaces are available to set up chairs, blankets, or picnic baskets. To request more information about this special event, call 954-828-5363 or email Stephanie Brad at Sbrad@fortlauderdale.gov.

2. Exploring John U. Lloyd Park and Beach

If you are passionate about canoeing, surf fishing, and boating, John U. Lloyd Park would be an excellent place to take a first date. Your new friend will be thrilled to enjoy the atmosphere, explore Port Everglades, and share ideas. It would be great if you could rent a pavilon. The park is located at 6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach- FL 33004. It is open everyday from 8:00 A.M. until sundown. Visitors who are driving will pay $6.00 per vehicle (2-8 passengers), $4.00 per single occupant vehicle, and $2.00 per pedestrians, bicyclists, and extra passengers.

3. Visiting Fort Lauderdale History Center

Fort Lauderdale History Center is a great place to meet new friends. You will learn about this city's history while sharing with your invitee your own experiences. Remember to take a tour of the following attraction sites: New River Inn (1905), King-Cromartie House (1907), and Replica School House (1899). Adults who are not students will pay a $10 admission fee.

In addition to those places, Movie Theater, restaurant for a nice dinner, school volleyball game, amusement park, or party at a friend's house would be ideal destinations to take a first date.
