Taking the Initiative to Make Things Happen

Taking the Initiative

Kurt Evans
Taking the initiative to make things happen is never an easy thing to do. Taking the initiative, always involves taking a risk of some kind.

Feel The Fear

When taking the initiative to make things happen, you have to feel the fear and do it anyway. Not because you have to, not because others told you to, but because that's what you've decided is the right thing to do. Here comes the risk-taking factor.

Doing The Right Thing

There will be times in life, when; even doing the right thing in your mind, seems unpopular in the mind's of others.

Live By The Principals That You Hold True To Your Heart

If you live by the principals that you hold true to your heart, then whatever circumstances life throws your way; you will be able to get through them because you know that, this too shall pass, as you work your way through it.

Character

Getting through hard circumstances in life, that seem difficult, is always a challenge. When faced with a challenge, whatever you decide to do, will show your character. Your character is what shows, who you are and what you're made of.

Prove Things To Yourself

When you prove things to yourself, that's when you know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you can do something. When you know in your heart that you can do something, then there's nobody in the world that can convince you otherwise. This self-confidence will always show through in what you do.

Taking The Initiative

Taking the initiative means that you have the ability to lead and do your own thing. Doing your own thing gives you power over the people that just want to follow and not take the lead.

Your Own Path

It's easier to do what you're told than it is to think of your own path. When you think of your own path and follow it, it means that you're willing to fail and learn from your mistakes.

Imagination, Determination, And Commitment

Taking the initiative is not for the lazy or the faint at heart. Taking the initiative requires imagination, determination, and commitment.

Responsibility

Taking the initiative to make things happen requires you to take responsibility for your own actions.

Goals

There's nobody in the world that will push you harder to reach your goals, than yourself. When it comes down to taking the initiative to make things happen, it's something that you have to do yourself. Nobody is going to do it for you.

Wise advice. I love that old saying,"If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up somewhere else."
