Taking a Proactive Approach in Your Career

K. Jackson,
I think that for a number of people that may be in a career right now wishes, to do bigger and better things in their career. And it is all about being proactive, in your career and for yourself. When either finding a job or currently working for a job it is important to always communicate to the right people to know just how to make a better future for your job and life. For me I think of being proactive in a career is all about not only working hard at what you do, but communicate with your boss or human resources about chances to do more with you career.

I also believe that having a good education can also provide a really good boost to ones future in having not only the right career but the desired pay. I know some of you may say that furthering your education is not for you or you just don't have the time to make that type of commitment. And that is fine; some people may not wish to continue their education or belief they have to have higher education to reach a satisfied life or career. But for our younger generation that are in school or for young adults that may have just graduated from high school, I think that getting a higher education in this day and age could definitely help. Think about it when you go online to employment websites the majority of those nice paying jobs have certain requirements that involves a certain degree or some type of college education. But for anyone that has not received a college education it is never too late if you want to pursue higher education, by all means go for it. With a degree opportunities can be endless, meaning higher pay for one thing and living a satisfied comfortable life. And for anyone who feels that college is not for them, and then it is best to find a business that helps there employees move up in their career.

Through my experience before I attended college I worked for a pretty good company that allowed for such advancement, and was willing to train anyone that wanted to move up throughout the company. And I am sure that there are companies that do help employees regardless of the length of education do bigger and better things, but you have to remember that in order to work well with an employer you have to build a level of communication, if you don't ask questions then you will never know what opportunities await.
