Taking Responsibility for Your Life

Eva Wright
Sometimes when we do things or make decisions in our lives, it is not always the right decision for us but it may seem right at the time. Whether it be because we were in a hurry and didn't weigh all of the pros and cons or someone else might have forced us into making a hasty decision that we didn't really feel like making at the time and not it has come back to haunt us like a ghost lurking in the closet after dark.

Responsibility for the decision is the most important thing.

Admitting to yourself and owning up to the fact that you might have made a mistake in judgment is essentially the most important step in Changing Your Life For The Better!

YOU are 100% Responsible for your actions and the living arrangement that you are currently in. It is now time to take a deep look inside of yourself through self reflection and see why things haven't worked in the past like they should have.

Sometimes when others in our family or coworker's are involved it doesn't seem like we are the ones causing our own turmoil but it is true. We want to put the blame elsewhere to save ourselves from any wrong doing. Putting the blame on someone else doesn't give you any more strength or power in your life. In fact, it makes you disempowered and keeps you living in a repetitive cycle of denial. If you are repeatedly late for appointments or a special dinner date it is your problem and not anyone else's. Own up to it and don't put the blame elsewhere. Blaming the cabby for making you late because of traffic when you should have just left home a little earlier.

We tend to become so wrapped up in in our own pride and ego that we forget that we are still in the driver's seat of our lives. Only when we acknowledge our own responsibility over a situation do we begin to find new and active ways to make a better and clearer judgment next time. Remember this is the first critical step to Change and nobody can do it for you! You have to take the first step yourself. This is a Creative and Abundant Universe that we live in and there is plenty of room for change in all of us. If the Seasons didn't change the Earth wouldn't grow and Heal herself. The good news is if there is an area in your life that isn't working quite right for you, you have the power to fix it or change it.

As my Grandmother used to say "It is never too late for change and you are never too old to change." Boy was she right!

If you aren't aligned with something or someone else in your life don't wait around expecting miracles to happen, make the necessary changes yourself. Don't waste precious time that can only be yours once squandered. I was reading on the Internet somewhere that research showed the average woman at age forty only has two thousand weeks left in her life. If this is true what do you plan on doing with your last two thousand weeks?

From one sister to another, my advice to you is for you to use them wisely. As for me, I am using the gift of Healing that God gave me to help others Change their lives for the better.

Change is already happening inside of each and every one of us this very minute, we merely need to open the door and let it out into the light of day. You are the student in the process called life. The first step toward making valuable changes in your life whether it be personal or professional is in taking Action.

Life is a wonderful blessing and a gift that the Creator has granted us with. But it is far too short to wait on taking action until a later date. Remember those two thousand weeks? Never put off tomorrow what you can do for yourself today. Perhaps it is something as simple as changing your mind about something to wear or what you eat, or changing your attitude toward someone that you don't get along with at work. Look at things from their point of view for a change.

Tuning in to your inner voice can help you with Change.

How do I tune in you ask? The daily practice of silence can help make us more receptive to our Intuition or our inner voice. Every problem that you have had has been a potential Lesson for you. It gave you the courage to move and grow.

What information that you received during the lesson was up to you. What gifts and knowledge you take from the lesson when it is over depends upon how open and receptive or detached you are to the experience as it is happening to you.

Studies have shown that we have more than sixty thousand thoughts per day and spend approximately ten thousand of those thoughts changing our minds at various times of the day about one thing or another. Each thought we send energy to creates the physical experience in our lives. Either it can be just that, an experience or it can be a wound that festers over time if we make the wrong decision, then that negative feeling creates a another feeling of guilt. It becomes a staircase of momentum but in the wrong direction. Guilt, worry, doubt, and anger can be set free or held trapped inside of us. Simply release it and let it go. It serves you no purpose in this world. You will feel a hundred pounds lighter if you do!

Only when Winter is released can it welcome Spring and the abundance of blooms as a celebration of letting go. Letting go of Winter is necessary for us to learn and grow. Life is meant to be a beautiful journey of fun, peace, and expansion.

Decide consciously to take the responsibility for every action in your life whether it be positive or negative from this moment on. Remember that life is short, make every moment count!
