It took me a little while to figure out just how to make more than a couple bucks a month. Like you have probably experienced it is difficult to find honest and reliable information about maximizing the profits you make from paid surveys. I wanted to share with you what I have learned over the last several months about taking paid surveys. Hopefully my advice will help you to accelerate your earning potential as a paid survey taker.
My first piece of advice is to find reviews of paid survey companies in the form of articles and websites. It can be a bit tricky to know which articles and websites to trust. I have found that articles that do not suggest that you can make thousands per month or other outlandish claims to be a good source of information. There are a couple of websites that I suggest you visit as well. For honest opinions I have found it best to steer clear of the flashy websites that promise huge earnings and require a sign up or a purchase to get all of the information. Two websites that I suggest are www.goldtreemarketing.com and www.zses.com. These two websites are run by folks that participate in paid surveys and have great information to help you decide which paid survey companies are best for you. All of their information on paid surveys is also free.
Once you have found some good paid survey companies you should sign up for several. This will allow you to get more invitations to paid surveys. When you are getting ready to sign up for paid surveys, I highly suggest that you first create a free email account at Yahoo, AIM, or others. Use this email account just for your surveys. This will keep you better organized. You will also avoid spam in your main email account should you sign up for a questionable website.
Check your email account daily for survey invitations. There is a limited time that the surveys are available. If a survey invitation is several days old, the response quota has likely been filled and you will not qualify to take this paid survey. First come, first served is the way it works.
Most of the paid survey company's website will have an area called a member profile or something similar. This area will include several surveys that you should take. The surveys create a profile of your demographics, interests, and lifestyle. Completing this information will help you to qualify for more surveys.
Do not expect a ton of surveys in your first month or two but take every survey they offer you. The more you take the more you will be invited to participate in later. Be sure you answer honestly. Do not just answer in a way that you think will help you to qualify. If you provide honest answers and take all surveys in a timely manner you will be invited to more. Eventually you may be asked to participate in focus groups. Focus groups pay even better than regular paid surveys.
Focus groups often times will involve trying a brand new product that has not yet been released. You will receive samples of the new product to try and then take follow up surveys giving your opinions on the product. Sometimes focus groups involve keeping a diary of certain activities for a few days and then reporting your entries on line. Whatever the focus group, I find them to be very enjoyable and the pay is not bad at all. There is one other way you should be aware of that can really make a difference in your paid survey income, referrals.
All paid survey companies need folks like you to give their opinions. They need people of varied demographics, lifestyles and interests to supply the information that their clients need. All of the paid survey companies that I participate in have some sort of referral system. The referral systems all vary in how they work from one company to the next but all of them offer you an attractive incentive to refer friends and family. Talk to your family and friends and let them know what you are doing and ask them if they would like to participate in paid surveys also. It does not cost your referrals anything to join, it is a cost of doing business for the paid survey companies to give you a referral fee.
Taking paid surveys is fun and profitable if you enjoy sharing your opinion and shaping future products and services. The money you can make, while not enough to make a living, is a nice addition to your income. Stay at home moms, students and anyone else can make a little extra in just a few hours per week.
