If the moment could be recaptured
What words would there be left to say?
When the pain that the past has caused has left two hearts shattered and afraid
And now a trail of tears is internally laid
True intentions no longer matter once the expense of someone's hurt feelings are paid
It's too bad anger does not know beforehand the effects of what it speaks
But in its aftermath it leaves an unforgettable regret that runs deep
For love is innocent but mixed with pride it becomes an egotistical feast
But sooner or later love will fight to allow its vulnerable side to rest in peace
