Talking Animals

How to Tease the Dog!

Michele Starkey

Edward Abbey once said, "When a man's best friend is his dog, that dog has a problem."

We all have seen the voice over videos involving animals. Someone sent me this link today on Youtube and it is by far the funniest video I have ever spent 2 minutes of my time watching.

The premise of the video is quite simple. A man is talking to his dog and telling him about food in the fridge. The dog is lavishing his full attention on the master as he begins to describe all of the tasty food that lies behind closed doors. When the master says, "I ate it."

The dog yawns but looks more like he's crying out loud and who could blame him. Then the master tells the dog that there is more food in there like bacon. The dog's eyes widen and he inches closer until the master reveals he gave it to the Cat! The dog gives another loud, "Oh no! Not the cat!"

You have to wonder what our animals are thinking. I was talking to Calvin this morning (yup, I talk to the dog) and telling him that we could go for a walk but we had to make it quick because I had lots of things to do. He stopped wagging his tail, turned to look at the door and then starting wagging his tail again and looked at me, mouth slightly open and made the smallest sound as if to say, "Okay, lady, let's do this!"

Well, if you're ready to laugh, then I encourage you to watch this talking doggie.

You can view it here.

Life isn't about the moments that make you laugh but sometimes it makes it easier.

I saw this video on tv earlier (with I think the voice over guy) I think animals understand at least some of what we say if we talk to them regularly, it's one way they learn tricks :)

My gray feathered friend needs no voice-over. Sometimes, I need earplugs.
