When it comes to exercise videos, Tamilee Webb stands out as one of the most famous fitness instructors. Her "Buns of Steel" fitness video series ranked on the top of many Billboard Video sales charts, and she's also hosted ESPN's Fitness Pro series.

Recently, Tamilee re-released the Buns of Steel series on DVD. "There was one big motivating factor to re-release the Buns of Steel, the constant request from my fans!" she explained. Fans told her that their old videos helped them get in the best shape of their lives.

As for her own secrets to her sleek physique, Tamilee says that she is "a mesomorph body type, which is built for muscles, I'm very solid and if I put on a few pounds it looks more like 5 or 10 because of my body type so it's important to keep my weight in check."

For those who want to achieve her physical success, Tamilee recommends that "you must listen to your body; if something isn't working, change it."

By modifying your workout every few months, you can succeed in challenging "your muscles to work harder, keep them guessing," according to Tamilee. "Be consistent when it comes to working out but change it up."

Understanding the Role Nutrition Plays
And don't underestimate the importance of what you eat. When it comes to getting and staying in shape, Tamilee contends that nutrition is sixty to seventy percent of the task, with exercise composing the other portion. "As you age, you'll notice your body changes; you too will have to make some changes in your nutrition. There might be foods that don't agree with you now or how much you can eat; watch your portions!" she adds.

When it comes to her own nutrition, Tamilee focuses on planning ahead. "I keep healthy foods with me at all times in case my blood sugars start to drop," she says. Her on-the-go snack options include "almonds, boiled egg, power bar, raisins, fruit, string cheese and always water."

If it's party time, with "sinful" foods, Tamilee eats something "light and healthy before I go. Eating out, I'll order an appetizer as a meal or split a meal." If her dining companion does not want to share a meal, the fitness pro will ask the restaurant waiter to put half of her meal in a to-go bag, so she can enjoy it the next day.

Tamilee's Fitness Plan and Future Plans for Herself
Every day, she incorporates some type of exercise, from walking her dog to working out. Currently, Tamilee teaches a spin class and a cardio-muscle class; she also hikes at 6 am four to six days a week and plays tennis once or twice a week. Because these workouts are "very different in movement," they challenge her body, according to Tamilee.

"My career goals are to continue to produce quality workouts," she says. Her other passion "is animals! I just had a pilot show produced which is about Amazing Rescue Animals that go on to do amazing things for others. I have a three-legged rescue dog named Izzabella Cinderella "Izzy" that is the star of the show!"
