A life of strings
laid out in lines
and spirals,
guiding
or deciding,
laid out in lines
and spirals,
guiding
or deciding,
with litle bows
and knots
and sometimes
gaps and frays.

That way.
Turn around.
Stop.
I hope, when the
spool unwinds its last,
there will be
a delicate design
revealed.
But even a life
full of tangles
entertains
the cat.
